The event Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is an event that goes on for 20 days. As the event is a complete show, it comprises of certain events other than just the rodeo. These events are the Downtown Rodeo Roundup, the ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run, the Downtown Rodeo parade and the World Championship Bar-B-Que Contest. Residents of Houston prepare for the event and wear western attire throughout the length of the show to celebrate the event.
